With a record 3-point shooting performance, Stephen Curry leads Team LeBron

Stephen Curry has the best performance in the NBA All-Star Game, scoring a record number of 3-pointers to lead Team LeBron.

Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors may not be the favorite homegrown NBA player in Akron, Ohio. That honor goes to LeBron James, the standout forward for the Los Angeles Lakers.

Curry, on the other hand, shone brightest during Sunday's All-Star Game, when he put on a spectacular show of 3-point shooting.

Curry finished with a game-high 50 points and established an NBA All-Star Game record with 16 three-pointers shot in the contest. Along with that, he set a new record most made threes in a quarter with seven in the third quarter, all of which came in classic Steph fashion: deep threes followed by a quick pivot to play defense before the ball went through the hoop.

Despite guiding Team LeBron to an upset victory over Team Durant (163-160), Curry was chosen MVP of the All-Star Game for the first time in his professional career. A trophy honoring Kobe Bryant's All-Star MVP Award has been created to include his jersey numbers as well as MVP and All-Star award winners from the past. The trophy also includes Bryant's title and Finals MVP trophies.

"This is absolutely something extraordinary," Curry expressed his delight. "This is the first year you've had the opportunity to celebrate Kobe, his life, and his legacy with this trophy. It took a lot of thinking to put it together. I can't recall everything on this trophy off the top of my head, but I know that everything on it represents something important in terms of his life and what he represented, as well as his accomplishments on the court. The fact that it is the first All-Star MVP trophy and that it represents something significant in his life and what he represented makes it even more special.

Team LeBron beat Team Durant 25-21 in the fourth quarter, and James sealed the victory with a fadeaway jumper to give them the victory. Team LeBron used the Elam Ending to conclude the game by obtaining the goal total of 163 points.

"I had a good night's play the whole time. "He hit the game-winning shot," Curry remarked. "All of the history of our series, the links to Akron, and all of that had a role in how the night unfolded, so it was a beautiful experience." It's really not possible to draw it any other way. "It's bang on the money in terms of how things should be."

Since the NBA began allowing the top vote-getters from each conference to serve as captains and select their teams, James has gone 5-0 in his attempts to select All-Star teams. James finished with 24 points, eight assists, six rebounds, and three steals on Wednesday night.

Curry began the day eight three-pointers behind James Harden (39 overall), who holds the record for the most three-pointers made in NBA All-Star history. During the third quarter, he had overtaken Harden and James, who had scored a 3-pointer earlier in the game to tie Harden's previous high-water mark.

"I mean, Steph, you're a grown woman, guy. "This person appears to be from another planet," James said. "He basically has an automatic sniper attached to his arm, and when he lets it go, not just himself, but everyone on the court, in the stands, watching on TV, on their phones, or whatever you're watching on, believes it's going to go in every single time." 9 out of 10, and sometimes even 10 times out of 10, it is successful in getting into the body. It was incredible to be out there and witness that youngster from Akron, as well as watch him shoot the ball in the manner in which he did. "It was a really great experience."

During the pregame introductions, the pro-Cleveland audience booed Curry, who stopped the Cleveland Cavaliers from winning additional championships when James' Cavaliers faced Curry's Warriors in the Finals from 2015 to 2018. Curry's Warriors won four championships during that span.

Each time Curry scored a three-pointer, the crowd erupted in applause, especially when Curry's success meant triumph for James.

Despite the fact that "it certainly implies there is history here," Curry added, "the fans I believe respect that, but it comes out in the form of booing, and I relish it because it's not the first time, and it's not the last time." "And it takes a lot of energy to boo, so you have to really care about something to do it." I attempted to pour that energy into tonight's performance and just enjoy myself while doing it. I got heated early on and kept it up, and I tried to put on a little bit of a show for the crowd to see. "The happiness began to shine through, and I sincerely hope that everyone saw."
